Michael A. DiMilta Chester, New York Michael A. DiMilta of Chester, a retired shop steward for the Millwright Union and a longtime area resident passed away on December 30, 2020 in Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown after a brief illness. He was 77. The son of the late Philip and Nancy DiMilta, he was born on March 8, 1943 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Michael worked as a journeyman and shop steward with the Millwright Union for Ford, General Motors and International Paper. He was a 50 year member and past captain of the Waalkill Engine Co. No. 6 in Middletown. Member of the BPOE Lodge 1097 in Middletown and was a member and past president of the Orange County Antique Auto Club. Mike always had a warm smile and was always available to help a friend in need. Survivors include his wife Paulette DiMilta at home. His daughters Kim Kellermueller and her husband Christopher of Newburgh and Lisa Blomme and her husband James of Monticello. His Stepson Peter MacMahon and his wife Nancy of the State of Florida. His sister Lucille Whitby and her companion Jack of Middletown. His grandchildren Giovanni, Joshua and Kyra, as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday January 6, 2021 from 11 A.M.-1 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Middletown, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Orange County Antique Auto Club.
