Matilda "Mitzi" Doucette of Lake Worth Florida, a former chanber maid in the State of Florida and in New York, died on Thursday September 5, 2013 in Atlantis, Florida. She was 97. She was born on July 17, 1916 in New York City. She and her two brothers were orphaned in New York. Her youngest brother was injured during World War II and she took care of him until he died. She was the widow of Frank Doucette who she married in 1958. She is survived by her daughter Darleen Clark and two grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews. She was a devout Catholic and a donor to many charities. She and Frank were proud members of the VFW organization. She was loved and respected by all those who knew her. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday September 13, 2013 at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y. Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Warwick, N.Y.
