MARIAN A. CAMILLO May 4, 1929 – November 16, 2015 Middletown, NY Marian A. Camillo age 86, of Middletown, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2015, at Orange Regional Medical Center. Born on May 4, 1929 in Cortland, NY, she was the daughter of Mary O'Toole Flood and Benjamin Flood. She married Michael F. Camillo M.D. of Middletown, NY on August 23, 1952 in Syracuse, NY. Marian, a loving mother and grandmother, is survived by her four children: Michael F. Camillo, M.D. of Cazenovia, NY; Christopher L. Camillo of Montgomery, NY; Mark Camillo of Middletown, NY; and Lynne Camillo of Fairfax, VA; and four grandchildren: Francesca Camillo; Tyler and Daniel Aucoin; and Birgitta Cockburn. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael F. Camillo, M.D. Marian graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Teachers College Columbia University with a Master of Arts in Nursing Education. She was a nursing instructor at OCCC for several years. She retired as a nurse at the Middletown Psychiatric Center, Middletown, NY. She was active in the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Benevolent, loving, and supportive, Marian never said an unkind word and always saw the best in those around her. One of her favorite expressions was "keep your chin up," which will continue to inspire all who knew her to remain cheerful through difficult circumstances. She enjoyed collecting antiques and baking for Camillo's at the Crossroads Restaurant. Her grandchildren, Francesca, Tyler, Birgitta, and Daniel were the pride and joy of her life.
