Leon C. Allen of Chester, New York a longtime resident of the area, passed away on October 3, 2022 in Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, N.Y. He was 80.
The son of the late Ernest M. and Christine Allen, he was born on November 5, 1941 in Cambridge, St. James, Jamaica, West Indies.
Leon was retired as a bank manager for Bank of America, with his last branch in Rosendale, New York.
He was a member of the Lions Club and the National Notary Association.
Survivors include his wife Hyacinth Allen at home. His daughter Patrice Allen of Middletown, N.Y. His grandchildren DeVaughn Gibson and his wife Alondra, Annisia Steeley and Kailina Steeley. His brothers Bradley Allen, Oral Allen and Brian Allen. His sisters Marcia Singleton and Ivy Allen-Collins. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation hours will be held on Friday October 14, 2022, from 9-11 A.M. with a Service at 12 Noon at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc.
