Lawrence Neeb

Lawrence Neeb Jr. of Chester, an invoice control clerk for Allstate Distributors in Middletown and formerly associated with American Aeromatics and a longtime resident of the area, died on December 18, 2014 in Cumberland, Maryland. He was 87. The son of the late Lawrence and Reva Deaver Neeb, he was born on August 10, 1927 in New York, N.Y. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. He was a longtime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Chester, where he served as a Lay Minister. He was a member of the Chester Historical Society; He was a member and past-president of the Chester Kiwanis Club. He assisted with the Food Pantry at the Chester Presbyterian Church in Chester. He was a volunteer for over 21 years at the Valley View Nursing Home. He was predeceased by his wife Jean Van Ollefen Neeb. Survivors include his sister Marian Joyce Smyth of Morgantown, West Virginia. His niece Catherine Brown of Morgantown, WV. His nephews George Smyth of Columbia, MD.; and Richard, William, Donald , Larry and Tom Van Ollefen. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday December 27, 2014 from 11A.M.-1 P.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Home, Inc. 92 Main St. Chester, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday Dec. 27, 2014 at 2 P.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church 101 Main St. Chester, N.Y. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J.
