Karlton C. Franck Wurtsboro, New York Karlton C. Franck, a retired plant utility engineer at the Shawangunk Correctional Facility and longtime resident of the area died after a long battle with cancer Saturday September 22, 2012 surrounded by his family at home. He was 63. The son of the late Karl H. and Sarah Louise Budd Franck, he was born on December 2, 1948 in Middletown, NY. Karlton was a veteran of the US Air Force; a member of the Middletown BPOE 1097; a life member Fireman for the Otisville Fire Dept.; a member of the Orange County Trappers; a member of the Otisville Sportsman Association and the Rolling Hills Hunting Club. Survivors include his children: Bryan Franck & his wife Marybeth Horzepa of Otisville, NY; Bonnie McFarland and her husband James of Wurtsboro NY; David Franck & his wife Amanda of Westbrookville, NY; his 5 grandchildren: Jacquelyn; Holly and Chase McFarland; Hunter and Shawn Franck ; his sister: Karen Baker and her husband Robert of Otisville, N.Y. He is further survived by the mother of his children: Linda Franck; his mother-in-law: Dorothy Reynolds; his brother-in-law: Richard Reynolds and his wife Darlene; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Robert Reynolds and Father-in-law Frank "Ben" Reynolds. Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday September 27, 2012 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Plains Cemetery in Otisville, NY.
