Karen A. Williams

September 23, 1976 — May 26, 2024

Karen Ann Williams, also known throughout her life as "Dee Dee" passed into Heaven on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the age of forty-seven. A resident of Middletown, NY, Karen passed at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY after a prolonged illness. Members of her loving family surrounded her.

Karen was born on September 23, 1976, at Sunnyside Hospital in Port Jervis, NY. Born six weeks early, Karen started out life with a helicopter ride to Cornell Medical Center. Karen was so tiny as a child that her brothers, Dave, and Scott would lift her up to get her on the school bus. Karen grew into a very independent, willful, capable person. She was deeply religious and loved her times at Bible study with her friends. Dee Dee was also an avid cook and started her own baking channel on YouTube. Another of her passions was adult doll collecting with an extensive collection. One of the best parts of Karen's life was taking care of her niece and nephew Hayley and Dylan before they started in school.

Karen is survived by her parents; Susan Kierstead (Middletown, NY) and Frederick Williams and Phyllis Crane (Port Orange, FL), along with her three brothers and their families. Daryl Williams (Middletown, NY), David and Fran Williams with niece Hayley and nephew Dylan (Westtown, NY), and Scott and Kathy Williams and nephews Hunter, Jack, and Eli (Ledyard, CT). She is also survived by her grandmother, Helen Kippity Williams (Phillipsport, NY), and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of Karen's life will take place at a time to be determined by the family. The family cannot express the gratitude they feel to Westchester Medical community. The doctors, nurses and all staff involved in Karen's care were not only experts at what they do, but they were as kind and compassionate as is possible. Her care and treatment were exemplary!

Services were held at the convenience of the family.
