June Sabarese

June Sabarese Greenwood Lake, New York June Sabarese, of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., a retired employee of Troll Associates in Mahwah, N.J. and a longtime resident of the area, passed away on Wednesday January 16, 2019 in St. Anthony's Hospital in Warwick, N.Y. surrounded by her family. She was 78. The daughter of the late Liborio and Mary Malacos Scicolone, she was born on June 14, 1940 in New York City. June was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y. She was the widow of Daniel R. Sabarese, who preceded her in death on August 25, 2014. Survivors include her children Daniel Sabarese and his wife Annmarie of Greenwood Lake and Denise Terhune-Cordero and her husband Michael of Sugar Loaf. Her grandchildren Rebekkah Sabarese, Alexandriah Sabarese and Amanda Terhune. Her great-granddaughter Aria Casse. Her brother Robert Scicolone of Texas and her sister Gerry and her husband Robert Toomey of Queens, N.Y. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday January 22, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday January 23, 2019 at 10 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake. Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery Warwick, N.Y.
