June A. Lee

February 12, 1945 — March 3, 2024

June A. Hendershot Lee, a lifelong resident of Middletown NY entered into eternal rest at home with her loving daughters by her side on March 3, 2024. She was 79.

The daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Wormuth Hendershot, June was born in Middletown, NY in 1945.

June loved to play games, do puzzles, line dance, and she loved the outdoors; especially her Mohonk and Frost Valley adventures. She enjoyed spending time with her second family at Mulberry House Senior Center. Whether she was playing cards with her friends, teaching line dancing or singing in the band; you would always know when June was in the room as she was larger than life. She could make you laugh till you cried or blush like a new bride from her jokes, as those who knew her could attest to! She had the best outlook on life and love and was a true friend to many. June worked at Horton Hospital for over 22 years retiring in 2007 and spoke fondly of the early years when she participated in the High Fever Folly's fund raising performances and how she and her co-workers would go hiking or cross country skiing. June had a strong spiritual faith and found comfort in knowing she would be reunited in Gods Kingdom with her Mother and Siblings - especially her twin sister, Joan.

She is survived by her loving children, son Kenneth R. Lee, Jr. and his wife Theresa of Parish, FL; daughters, Terri Still and her husband Keith of Middletown, NY and Susanne Neenan and her husband Joseph of Slate Hill, NY. Her beloved grandchildren, Stefanie Dymon and her husband Michael; Jessica Lucas and her husband Josh; Danielle Morrone and her partner Tim DeBlois; Steven Clemmer; Zachary Still and Kayleigh Banse. Her cherished great-grandchildren, Skylar Dymon; Olivia Dymon; Cooper Lucas and a new little miracle due in May. Brothers, William Hendershot and his wife Kathy; and Ricky Hendershot.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years Kenneth R. Lee Sr., her sisters, Joan Decker; Shirley Brown; Elaine Hendershot; Linda Yontz and her brother Walter Hendershot.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date for June's family and friends. Donations can be made in June's honor to Mulberry House Senior Center.
