Joseph Montelione

Joseph C. Montelione of Middletown, a retired employee of the N.Y. City Department of Public Works and a longtime resident of the area, died on January 17, 2015 at his home. He was 90. The son of the late Joseph and Anna Lucia Pomis Montelione, he was born on April 19, 1924 in New York, New York. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp having served during World War II. He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Middletown. He was the widower of Antoinette Montelione. Joseph is survived by his children Joseph Montelione III; Lucyann Montelione and Angela Levy and her husband Mark. His sister Sadie Montelione. His grandchildren: Gina Montelione; Joseph Montelione IV; Nicky Montelione; Joseph Deleonardis Jr.; Antonia Johnson and her husband Matthew; Michelle Hopkins and her husband Farrell; Mark Levy II and his wife Danielle; Steven Levy; and Eric Levy and his Fiancee Ashley Schultz. His four great-grandchildren Joseph Deleonardis III; Antonia Grace Hopkins; Mark Levy III and Brandon Levy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Monday January 19, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, New York. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 20, 2015 at 11 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church 149 Cottage St. Middletown, N.Y. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Middletown, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. Arrangements by Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc.
