John R. "Jack" Tice of Chester, an employee of Hudson Valley Lighting in Wappingers Falls, N.Y. and a lifelong resident of the area, died on April 17, 2017. He was 59. The son of Frederick G. and Marcella Lynch Tice, he was born on October 17, 1957 in Middletown, N.Y. Jack's catch phrase was never say "hi Jack" too loud if you saw him on an airplane. Survivors include his father Frederick Tice of Newburgh. His brothers and sisters: Frederick Tice Jr. and his wife Ann of New Mexico; Deborah Kirkland and her husband Gordon of Chester; Pearl Weed of Middletown; Daniel Tice of Port Jervis; Joy Ronne of Maybrook; William Lang and his wife Stephani of Newburgh and Gary Lang of Chester. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Friday April 21, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Home, Inc. 92 Main St. Chester, N.Y.
