Joan Fields

September 5, 1977 — March 27, 2017

Joan Elizabeth Fields of Greenwood Lake, entered into eternal rest on March 27, 2017 following a long courageous battle with a lung disease. She was 39. Prior to her illness she worked for Ascot Communications in Greenwood Lake, N.Y. She was an honors graduate of Tuxedo High School. She had a special gift of compassion, and brought great happiness to everyone who knew her. More than anything, she enjoyed her family and friends, her BFF's were her world. She will be sadly missed. She was predeceased by her loving Mother, Kathleen Fields, brother Thomas Fields, Uncle Bruce Donald and both of her maternal and fraternal grandparents. She is survived by her father William Fields Sr. of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. Her brother William Fields Jr. of Tuxedo, N.Y. Her sister and brother-in-law Dawn and Paul Graham of New Hampton, N.Y. Her aunts Patricia VanNorman of Richmond, TX. And Diane Bukovinsky of Wurtsboro, N.Y. Her one niece and eight nephews, that were the light of her life. As well as the love of her life Sajan George of Spring Valley. Due to her illness she was unable to have the pet of her dreams. In her honor, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Pets Alive Animal Sanctuary 363 Derby Road Middletown, N.Y. 10940. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday April 1, 2017 from 4-6 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak Street Greenwood Lake, N.Y.
