JoAnn Ayers Roth, 64, of Mountain Top passed away on Saturday Aug. 19. at home. Jo Ann was born on January 24, 1953 to Audrey Landwehr Ayers and Calvin R. Ayers in Middletown, NY. Jo Ann was a 1971 graduate of Minisink Valley High School. JoAnn is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dale; her three children: Steven and wife, Breanne; Brian and wife, Stacey; Susan Artemik and husband Nicholas; Four grandchildren: Samantha, Brandon, Nathan and Dylan; Brothers: Michael, Curtis and wife Sherry; sister Kristine Ayers Maiorino and husband Frank; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Her two dogs; Zoey and Missy; two cats; Buddy and Max. She is preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Landwehr Ayers; sister Donna Ayers Freethy; and father, Calvin R. Ayers. After high school she attended Margo George modeling school in Goshen, NY. Jo Ann was an avid animal lover and rescued many dogs and cats through the years. Halloween was especially fun for her. She was famous for her tables full of treats and toys for the neighborhood children. She enjoyed interior decorating and helped plan the weddings of her three children. Jo Ann enjoyed watching old black and white movies starring her favorite actress Bette Davis. Growing up you would often find her at the Orange County Speedway watching the races with her family and friends. She also enjoyed listening to the music of Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Doobie Brothers and Jimi Hendrix. Visitation hours will be held on Friday August 25, 2017 from 5-8 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday August 26, 2017 at 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery Town of Wawayanda, N.Y.
