Jefrey Burleigh Furman Bloomingburg, New York Jefrey Burleigh Furman, a former chemist for PFW in Middletown and Texaco in Beacon, former employee of Met Life and owner of Berkshire Financial Strategies and longtime resident of the area, died Tuesday January 27, 2015 at home. He was 52. The son of Maxine Furman Krohn and the late Rolf Krohn, he was born October 30, 1962. He was a 1980 graduate of Valley Central high School, OCCC, SUNY New Paltz (chemistry) and Long Island University (MBA). A family statement reads: "He enjoyed taking family vacations to Lake George, spending time with his daughter Heidi, listening to the music of Sting, watching the Yankees and the Giants, as well as watching and playing Tennis." Survivors include his daughter: Heidi Michelle Furman and her mother: Karen Furman Andrews; his mother: Maxine Furman Krohn; his siblings: Nanci Itzla (Rich); Linda Harahan (Mike); John Furman (Lorraine); Marcy Furman (Trina)and his nieces: Meredith Itzla Noel and Cassidy Harahan. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday January 31, 2015at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, NY. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in his name may be made to: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs for students K-12 payable to the SAE Foundation 400 Commonwealth Drive Warrendale, PA 15096 or a charity of one's choice.
