James Johnson

James J. Johnson, the owner of Jim's Used Cars and Repairs and Jim Johnson Towing in Blooming Grove and a lifelong resident of the area, died on Tuesday April 10, 2012 at his home. He was 58. The son of the late Carl and Mary Heffner Johnson, he was born on August 6, 1953 in Goshen, New York. He enjoyed fishing. He was a hardworking honest man who worked a lot of the community over the years. We will miss hearing "Jimmy J. is on his way." Survivors include his wife Mary Johnson at home. His niece Nicole Muenster Neal of Virginia. His uncles Joseph Heffner of Chester and Edward Johnson of Salisbury Mills and his aunt Agnes Hulse of Campbell Hall and he is also survived by his cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Gail Muenster. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday April 14, 2012 from 2-6 P.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Home, Inc. 92 Main St. Chester, New York. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Blooming Grove P.O. Box 226 Washingtonville, N.Y. 10992.
