Isabel Marquez, a retired seamstress in New Yorkand longtime resident of the area, passed away Tuesday December 20, 2016 at Highland Rehab & Nursing Center. She was 93. The daughter of the late Agustin and Serafina Rivera Cortes, she was born August 8, 1923 in Utuado, Puerto Rico. She was the widow of Diego Astacio Marquez. Survivors include her 3 children: Minerva Mercado and her husband Carlos of Middletown, NY; Sylvia Padilla and her husband Elvin of the state of Florida; Nellie Colon-Hubbard and her husband Daniel of Middletown, NY; her grandchildren: Melissa and her husband J.T., Christopher, Ashley, Ali and his wife Cheryl, David and his wife Kathy and Derek. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren: Megan, Vanessa, Derek, Javier, Saige, Kai, Crew, Avion, Aaliyah, Ciara, Laila, Charlie and Sadie. She was predeceased by her granddaughter: Jennifer Leigh Padilla. "The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Highland Rehab for their care of Mom over the years." Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Tuesday December 27, 2016 at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday December 28, 2016 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wallkill Cemetery in the Town of Wallkill.
