George W. Williams Sr.

George W. Williams Sr. of Sparrowbush, N.Y. passed away on July 21, 2023 in Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y. He was 86.

The son of the late Wesley Williams and Rose Mapes, he was born on April 19, 1937 in Warwick, N.Y.

He was a veteran of U.S. Army having served as a Sergeant in 101st Airborne Division.

George was retired from the County of Orange Department of Public Works.

Survivors include his wife Doreen Williams at home. His children George W. Williams Jr.; Melinda Ramos, Julia Rodriguez, Wesley Williams and Jean Rivera. His sisters Madeline Lewis; Joan Walker and Barbara DeGroat. He is also survived by his many grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter Joan Rodriguez.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday July 31, 2023 from Noon-2 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc.

Graveside Services will follow at 2:30 P.M. at the Hillside Cemetery in Middletown, N.Y.
