Fred Warren

September 14, 1927 — May 8, 2014

Fred L. Warren of Pembroke Pines, Florida, a retired accountant for the Presbyterian Council of Churches in New York City having retired in 1988 after 35 years of service, died on May 8, 2014 in Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. He was 86. He was a wonderful son to the late Fred and Anna Barnes Warren and was born on September 14, 1927 in Middletown, New York. He honorably served our Country in the U.S. Army from 1944-1946. He served in the Counter Intelligent Core in Japan. Fred was an avid traveler and took many cruises. He enjoyed the theater, ballet and the opera. Survivors include his sisters Jean Babcock of Seminole, Florida; Dolores Vavricka of New Hampton; Maxine Furman Krohn and her husband Rolf of Middletown and Barbara Paffenroth and her husband Richard of Middletown. His long time friend Rudy Kovacs of Pembroke Pines and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Burleigh Warren. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday May 13, 2014 from 4-7 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, New York. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 14, 2014 at 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery Town of Wawayanda, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn. or Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties or a charity of one's choice.
