Fred H. Barnes of Middletown, a former Roller Operator for Yonkers Paving and Ward's Paving and a lifelong resident of the area, died on June 5, 2013 in Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 51. The son of Clinton S. and Joan Andryshak Barnes Jr., he was born on October 17, 1961 in Goshen, N.Y. He was a member of BPOE Lodge 1097 in Middletown and he was an avid NASCAR fan. Survivors include his daughter Stefanie Barnes of Middletown; his parents Clinton and Joan Barnes of Goshen. His sister Cynthia Harris and her husband J.P. of Mohrsville, PA and his niece Jacqui and her fiancé Jared Goodling of York, PA. He is also survived by his beloved cat Checkers. He was predeceased by his brother C. David Barnes in 1980. Visitation hours will be held on Friday June 7, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Chapel, Inc. 107 Murray Ave. Goshen, N.Y. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 8, 2013 at 10 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Middletown Humane Society or Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc.
