Frank J. Dieber, the former owner of Castle Tavern in Greenwood Lake and lifelong resident of the area, passed away Sunday November 10, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 58. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake and a former member of the Greenwood Lake Lions Club. Survivors include his loving wife Joyce Dieber at home; his sons: Frank Dieber Jr. & his fiancé Catherine Hirrel of Monroe and Thomas C. Dieber of Greenwood Lake; his step-daughter: Kathryn Cincotta of Brooklyn; his granddaughter: Autumn Jude Dieber; his brother: Robert G. Dieber and his wife Nancy of Middletown; his sister: Theresa Super & her husband James of Ringwood, NJ; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. A family statement reads: 'Frank was a loving husband, father, step-father, brother and uncle. He was a man who put his family above all else, always." A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at10 AM on Saturday November 16, 2013 at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
