Eleanor T. Bolsman of Greenwood Lake, a clerk at Cumberland Farms in Greenwood Lake and a longtime resident of the area, died on January 6, 2017 in Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, N.Y. She was 54. The daughter of Erich Leppin and the late Eleanor Herrmann Leppin, she was born on July 24, 1962 in West Milford, N.J. She was raised in West Milford, N.J. and graduated from West Milford High School. She was previously employed by Darett Industries in Ringwood, N.J. and the Grand Union in Greenwood Lake. Eleanor served as a softball coach and was a volunteer with the Greenwood Lake Elks. Survivors include her father Erich Leppin of Wanaque, N.J. Her husband Scott Bolsman of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. Her daughter Eleanor of Pittsburgh, PA. and her son Brian of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. Her sisters Diane Fisher and her husband James of West Milford, N.Y.; Marybeth Whitenour and her husband Gordon of Owego, N.Y.; Sandy Anderson and her husband Thomas of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. and Susan Leppin of Tennessee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Eleanor Leppin, her nephew Jared Fisher and her great-nephew Connor Knutt. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday January 12, 2016 from 3-6:30 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak Street Greenwood Lake, N.Y. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
