Edna Ferguson

March 2, 1951 — April 30, 2022

Edna Mae Ferguson formerly known as Edna Mae Buterbaugh, passed away peacefully at the Milford Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on April 30, 2022.

Beloved wife and best friend of the late Paul E. Ferguson whom she married on January 30, 1971.

Edna loved to be called Mema, by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania to the late Ernest and Bessie Buterbaugh. She attended and graduated from Purchase Line High School. After marrying the love of her life, their family relocated to Middletown, N.Y. As a longtime resident she devoted her life to caring for her husband and family. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and homemaking while listening to country music and classic rock & roll, especially Elvis Presley.

A devout Christian who loved the Lord. "Have your heart right with Christ, and He will visit you often, and to turn weekdays into Sundays, meals into sacraments, homes into temples and Earth into Heaven".

She leaves behind her three children Brenda Herran, Bonnie Moore and Paul Ferguson Jr. Her six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her three brothers and four sisters and a community of friends.

As per her wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family wishing to honor Edna are invited to make a donation to St. Jude Childrens Hospital in her name.
