Cornelius Boykins

Cornelius Clyde Boykins, 79, was born April 30, 1935 in Hurdle Mills, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Clyde Boykins Sr. and Sadie Boykins Ross. He was the widower of Patricia Green Boykins who passed away in 2013. Cornelius " Neil" Boykins resided in Newburgh, NY for 31 years and worked and retired from the Town of Goshen Highway Dept. He was a member of St. John's AUMP Church in Goshen, NY. Neil loved going down to the Newburgh Waterfront to feed the ducks and listen to the gospel music. Survivors include his children: Cornelius C. Boykins & his wife Palepa of Williamsburg, VA; Pamela D. Jackson & her husband Henry of Middletown, NY; Kelly L. Chavis & her husband Paul; Donna Boykins-Jones & her husband Eugene; Kimberly M. Chambers & her husband Joseph Sr.; Tyrone A. Boykins & his wife Linnette and Terri A. Boykins & her companion William all of Newburgh. He is also survived by his brother: Clyde Boykins Jr. of Virginia; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sons: Michael E. Boykins & Matthew H. Boykins; his daughter: Desiree A. Boykins and granddaughter Jennera T. Smith Boykins; as well as his brother and sisters. A Family statement reads: "We love you Popsicle." Visiting will be held from 11-12 Noon on Saturday August 16, 2014 at the Lippincott Funeral Chapel, Inc. 107 Murray Ave. Goshen, New York . Funeral Services will follow at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Slate Hill Cemetery in Goshen, NY.
