Jack H. Schwab of Goshen, a retired Lt. Colonel for the U.S. Air Force and a longtime resident of Middletown and later Goshen, N.Y., died in Goshen on December 4, 2014. He was 93. The son of the late John H. and Blanche Morton Schwab, he was born on October 27, 1921 in Windsor, Colorado. He was a veteran of World War II. A Family statement read: "The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at Glen Arden for graciously providing assistance and support. Many thanks also to the staff of the Health Care Center at Glen Arden for their kindness and care to Jack and his family." He was a member and past president of the Middletown Kiwanis Club. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and a member and past-president of the Life Underwriters Assn. He was a member of the former Webb Horton Memorial Presbyterian Church in Middletown. Survivors include his wife of 56 years Lois Ford Schwab at home. His daughters Sheri Griffie (Warren Reynolds) and Jacqueline Schwab both of Pine Bush. His grandchildren Jason Barkley of Texas; Tristan and Louie Gonzalez both of Pine Bush. His nephew Gerald Schwab and his wife Cindy of Arizona and his niece Kay Mansfield of TN. His sister-in-law Mary Ellen Calta of Springfield Center, N.Y. and his brother-in-law Frank Ford of Westtown, N.Y. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday December 13, 2014 from 10-11 A.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, N.Y. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 13, 2014 at 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held in the Unionville Cemetery in Unionville, N.Y. at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Middletown Kiwanis Club Scholarship Fund Box 752 Middletown, N.Y. 10940.
