Clinton S. Barnes Jr. of Goshen, retired Chief Water Sewer Plant Operator for the Village of Goshen, and a lifelong resident of the area, died on October 16, 2016 in Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 80. The son of the late Clinton S. and Susan Sawyer Barnes Sr., he was born on March 21, 1936 in Goshen, N.Y. Clinton was formerly employed by City Service and worked in his family owned butcher shop. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a fan of NASCAR and dirt track racing. Survivors include his wife Joan Andryshak Barnes at home. His favorite daughter Cindy and her husband John. He was predeceased by his sons David and Fred Barnes. He is further survived by his granddaughters Jacqui and her husband Jared Goodling and Stephanie Barnes. His favorite great-granddaughter Charlotte Harper Goodling. He is also survived by his sisters Pat Mosley and her husband Joe of Georgia and Margaret Lupparelli and her husband Anthony of Beacon and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Charles Barnes and sister Susan Morley. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday October 18, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Chapel, Inc. 107 Murray Avenue in Goshen, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 10 A.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Chapel, Inc. Burial will follow in Wallkill Cemetery Phillipsburg, New York.
