"Kay" TenBroeck a lifelong Middletown resident passed away peacefully at Orange Regional Medical Center on Monday March 25, 2013 after a brief illness. She was 85 years old. Kay married Walter T.L. (Moto) TenBroeck on June 21, 1959 in Middletown. They were married for 42 years until his death on June 21, 2001. Kay was employed as a waitress in her earlier years in Middletown at various restaurants, including the Middletown and Colonial Diners. Walt and Kay also ran the snack bar at Middletown Lanes in the mid 1960's, as well as "The Key Chain" located in the Town of Wallkill. Kay was last employed as the Manager of the Boys Department at Playtogs up to her retirement in 1988. Following their retirement, Kay and Walt moved to Port Richey, Florida and spent thirteen great years together enjoying their retirement in the Sunshine State. They also never missed a chance catch a Clearwater Bombers Professional Softball game, traveling numerous times to the Championship Games around the country. Following Walt's death in 2001, Kay returned to her native Middletown to be closer to her family and friends. She was an active participant in the Pinkino games at Wallkill Senior Housing, she also loved to read and do word search puzzles. Kay's greatest joy came from spending every holiday, birthday and special occasion with her extended family, The Ingrassia's, out on the "Farm" on Ingrassia Road. Kay got the greatest joy from conversation, and spending time with her loved ones, she was always quick with a joke or one-liner that would make everyone's day. Kay leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Pat TenEyck and her Life Partner Amy Gibson, Michele TenBroeck Grupe and her husband Jon , and son Joseph TenBroeck all of Aurora CO., as well as Jacqueline TenBroeck Ingrassia and her husband Lou of Middletown NY. Kay's most cherished memories will live on in the hearts of her devoted Grandchildren; Brandon Narine and Zane Irelan of Aurora, Louis Ingrassia III, and Andrea Ingrassia of Middletown.
