Carol Ohlmer of Chester, a longtime resident of the area, died on February 2, 2016 in Schervier Pavilion in Warwick. She was 94. The daughter of the late Theodore and Theresa Masucci, she was born on April 17, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA. Carol was a retired nurse's aide in Arden Hill Hospital in Goshen, N.Y. Carol was the widow of Jack Ohlmer. Carol was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Chester, where she also served as the Treasurer, a member of the Vestry, a Guild Member and a Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Chester 4-H Club and the Chester Historical Society. Survivors include her children Theodore Ohlmer of Monterey, California; Cynthia Sassenrath of Albuquerque, New Mexico; David Ohlmer and his wife Nancy of Walden; Susan Steckler and her husband Scott of Washingtonville and John Ohlmer of Newburgh, N.Y. She is also survived by her sister Marie of Bradenton, FL. and brother Steve Port Richey, Fl. and her four grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Friday February 12, 2016 from 4-7 P.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Home, Inc. 92 Main St. Chester, N.Y. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 13, 2016 at 11 A.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Chester. Burial will be in Chester Cemetery Chester, N.Y.
