Bruce Edward Tice, beloved father and grandfather, passed away on May 1, 2016 at home after a long battle with cancer. He was born January 3, 1948 in Middletown, NY to Roberta Martin and William Tice. Bruce enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served during the Vietnam Era and was forever proud of his service to his country. He attended Orange County Community College to study Business and on September 10, 1972 he married Martha Wright, with whom he spent a total of 48 years. Bruce loved to focus his time on hobbies such as going to music concerts, and appraising and collecting baseball memorabilia. Above all he loved being a full-time Dad. He was an avid baseball fan; coached Little League and Babe Ruth, and devoted more than 15 years as President of the Middletown Babe Ruth League. He is survived by his wife Martha at home, stepdaughter Lisa Babcock and husband Jerry of Middletown, NY, son Brian Tice and wife Dina of Westtown, NY, twin daughters Brittney Dumas and husband Michael of Gilbert, AZ and Stephanie Benson and husband Charles (Casey) of Rock Hill, NY, grandchildren Alyssa, Luke, Eva, and the joy of his life, Charles, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Roberta and brother Peter. Friends may call on Sunday May 15, 2016 at 11am with a Memorial Service to celebrate his life beginning at 12pm at Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, 72 W. Main St. Middletown, NY. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties and Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley.
