Bridget "Bridie" Clarke Greenwood Lake, New York Bridget "Bridie" Clarke of Greenwood lake, a former nurse's aide in St. Elizabeth's Hospital in N.Y. City and St. Anthony's Hospital in Warwick and a longtime resident of the area, died on April 29, 2014 in St. Anthony's Community Hospital. She was 88. The daughter of the late John and Anne Lynch Boyle, she was born on December 27, 1925 in Ireland. She was the widow of Thomas Clarke. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake; the Gaelic Cultural Society where she was a past Celt of the Year. She was affectionately known as "Nanny". Survivors include her children: Gerry "Michael" Clarke and his wife Rosie of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Mary Fulgione and her husband Anthony of Yonkers; Patricia Randall and her husband Rob of New Windsor and Rose Rossner and her husband Michael of the State of Florida. Her sisters Margaret O'Brien and her husband John and Mary Kieran all of Ireland. Her sister-in laws Philomena Boyle and Maggie Boyle. Her grandchildren Meghan Clarke; Michael Clarke; Timothy Clarke; Thomas Fulgione; Ashley Clarke; Brendan Lyons; Justine Lyons; Gerald DiChiara; Bobby Randall; Brianna Randall and James and Liam Randall. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many special friends and family who were there for her in her time of need. Visitation hours will be held on Friday May 2, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday May 3, 2014 at 10 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake. Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery Warwick, New York. In lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Greenwood Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corp PO Box 223 Greenwood Lake, NY 10925 or the Greenwood Lake Fire Dept.
