Betty Carrick

Betty L. Carrick Middletown, New York Betty L. Carrick of Middletown, retired employee of the credit and service departments of Sears in Middletown, died on December 10, 2013 in Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 87. The daughter of the late Peter H. and Anna Ibohm Rasmussen, she was born on December 16, 1925 in Pine Island, New York. She was a member of Queen Esther Chapter Order of Eastern Stars in Middletown; Fraternal Order of Eagles as well as the United Presbyterian Church in Middletown. A family statement read: "The family wishes to thank Dr. Fruchter for his care and compassion in Betty's final days that went above and beyond the call of duty. They also wish to thank all the nurses and staff in the SICU at ORMC especially Maria, Liz, Jodi, Mary and Melissa. She was the widow of William Carrick. Survivors include her beloved daughter Carole Raff and her husband Arthur of Middletown. Her beloved son William Carrick and his wife Rhonda of Middletown. Her grandchildren Cherilyn; Shayna and Elissa. Her great-grandchildren Tracilyn; Andrew and Brandon. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday December 12, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 13, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wallkill Cemetery Phillipsburg, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots.
