Barbara Sherwin

Barbara M. Sherwin of Chester, a retired secretary for the Goshen High School and a longtime resident of the area, died on November 28, 2015 in Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 77. The daughter of the late William and Margaret Clyne Schaeffer, she was born on August 3, 1938 in Bronx, New York. Survivors include her husband of 57 years Robert E. Sherwin at home. Her children Bernadette Grandits and her husband Greg of Sugarland, Texas; Anne Bergoine and her husband Robert of Highland Mills, N.Y.; Robert Sherwin of Chester, N.Y. and William J. Sherwin of Astoria, N.Y. Her grandchildren Matthew, Corey and Jessica. Her great-granddaughter Kinley Marie. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday December 2, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Home, Inc. 92 Main Street Chester, New York. Prayers will be offered on Wednesday December 2, 2015 at 3:30 P.M. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
