Anthony Perry "Tony" "Pokey" Smith Sr. Middletown, New York Anthony Perry Smith Sr, resident of Middletown and longtime driver for Mid City Transit and 555 Taxi died on Monday November 12, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 55. The son of the late Robert P. Smith and Janette Smith, he was born on February 22, 1957 in Newark, New Jersey. Anthony was a member of the Christian Faith Fellowship Church; he was involved in Christian Partners Outreach; the food pantry senior dining program and was a former employee of AHRC. He is survived by his mother: Janette Smith of Goshen; his wife: Joan Smith of Middletown; his children: Anthony Smith Jr. of Bloomingburg; Tanya E. Smith of Middletown; Tiamo L. Smith of Newburgh; Andrew Brennen of Saratoga Springs, NY and Aleah Smith of Kerhonkson, NY. Anthony is further survived by his sisters: Rita Baker of Middletown; Julia Avant(Lonnie) of Middletown; Gail M. Smith of Albuquerque, NM; Nadine Smith of Middletown; Yvonne Smith & Marleen Smith of South Carolina; Sandy Griffin of the state of Florida and his brother: Ronnie C. Smith of the state of Florida; his grandchildren: Mia R. Smith & Kalani A. Smith; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Desarae R. Burke. Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 AM on Saturday November 17, 2012 at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Middletown followed by a Funeral service at 10:30 AM.
