Andrew Plavka

Andrew J. Plavka of Campbell Hall, N.Y., owner of Plavka Cabinet Shop in Campbell Hall and a longtime resident of the area, died on March 4, 2018 in Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 93. The son of the late Andrew and Anna Plavka, he was born on August 4, 1924 in Queens, N.Y. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a graduate of New York University with a degree in accounting. The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Valley View Nursing Home in Goshen for their caring and kindness. Some of Andrew’s restored antiques can be found in Boscobel; Hill Hold Museum and the State Department in Washington, D.C. Survivors include his nieces Susan Dembek and her husband Ted DeMuth of Campbell Hall, N.Y. and Lynda Dembek of Houston, Texas; his nephew Anthony Dembek Jr. of Campbell Hall, N.Y. and his cousin. In addition to his parents, Andrew was predeceased by his sister Margaret Plavka Dembek. Visitation hours and Funeral Services will be held on Thursday March 8, 2018 from 10 A.M. -12 Noon at the Lippincott Funeral Chapel, Inc. 107 Murray Ave. Goshen, N.Y.
