Alison Eager

Alison Eager, aged 71, of Middletown, NY passed away at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown on Sunday January 12, 2025 surrounded by the prayers of her children. The daughter of the late Samuel and Marcia Eager, she was born on May 16, 1953.

Alison was a former music teacher in the Pine Bush School District. She was a graduate of SUNY Potsdam and SUNY New Paltz, achieving her bachelor’s in music theory & composition. Alison was an accomplished pianist and singer and was also the owner of the Children’s Creative Music Center and formerly worked for the Orange County Department of Health. Alison was known for her strong faith in God, unwavering strength and contagious positivity. She was a loving mother of 4 children. She enjoyed bird watching, playing piano, reading verses of Scripture and listening to classical music. 

She is survived by her children who will cherish her memory: J.W. Callahan, Brett Callahan, Rebecca Schaible and William Schaible, their spouses Bridgette Callahan, Peggy Callahan, and Jessica Schaible, as well as her sister Rosalind Mailander. She was predeceased by sisters Karen Schroeder and Ellen Dunham. 

Affectionately known as Granny Ali to her loving grandchildren: Riley, Kaden, Devyn, Kiersten, Alycia, Taya, Teagan, Samantha, Kira, Nicholas, Trustin and Emilio. 

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday January 25, from 4pm-7pm at the Martinez Morse Funeral Home, 33 Railroad Ave Middletown NY 10940 

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family
