Alan Carr

Alan L. Carr Sr., a long time and dedicated employee of Central Water Systems in Warwick, NY and longtime resident of the area, passed away on Tuesday February 10, 2015 at home. He was 80. The son of the late Wesley and Julia Cortright Carr, he was born June 9, 1934 in Johnson, NY. He served his country in the U.S. ARMY from 1957-1959 with honorable discharge. A family statement reads: "Al was known for being an excellent mechanic with the ability to make something out of nothing. He was always willing to help someone in need whether he knew you or not, he will be forever missed. Grieving is love with no place to go." Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years: Patricia A. Carr; his children: Lori A. Palko and her husband Peter; Alan Carr Jr.; his granddaughter: Britni Rose Carr; his sisters: Doris Carr and Alethia Sorocco; his brother Donald Carr; as well as several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Middletown Humane Society 142 Bloomingburg Road Middletown, NY 10940.
