Ethel E. Davis of Middletown, died on February 9, 2018 in ORMC in Middletown, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was 97. The daughter of the late Willard and Estella Demeree, she was born on August 20, 1920. Many knew her as part of the Dynamic duo Ralph E. Davis Well Drilling bringing water to thousands of homes. Others knew her as the sweet nanny who gave out full size candy bars, always had home baked cookies and on hot summer days let you drink out of her hose after playing basketball at Washington Heights Park. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph E. Davis, her daughter Linda A. Baldwin and her daughter-in-law Donna Davis. She is survived by her sons John E. Davis Sr. and Ralph W. Davis and his companion Bonnie MacLennan. Her beloved daughter-in-law Patricia A. Davis. Her Grandchildren Ronalynn Davis-Benware and her husband Matthew; Stephanie Canales and her husband Pablo; Dori Carson and her husband Rafaele; Todd Roescher and his wife Barbara; Shondelle Luba and her husband Henry; Ralph E. Davis and his wife Alyson; John Davis Jr. and his wife Kari; Joanne Hall and her husband Keith and Art Roescher and his wife Eleanor. She is also survived by her 23 great-grandchildren and her 7 great-great grandchildren. Her great niece Kristine Maiorino and her husband Frankie. She shared a special bond with her great-granddaughter Mackenna Davis. The family would like to thank nanny's companion and constant caregiver Dreen Blacknall and her driver Talmadge "Junior" Stallworth. Much appreciation to Dr. Alexander Fruchter and his nurse Jill Merritt for all their help during this time and the wonderful staff at Elant Daycare. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday February 13, 2018 from 6-9 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday February 14, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wallkill Cemetery Phillipsburg, N.Y. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Dr. Alexander Fruchter's office to assist in Alzheimer's Care.
