Obituary of Dawn Marie Young

Dawn Marie "MiMi" Young of Middletown, a former home health aide for the mentally challenged in Pennsylvania, passed away on September 23, 2017 after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. She was 49. The daughter of the late Robert Young and the late Janet Simpson-Young, she was born on August 16, 1968 in Middletown, New York. Dawn was a fan of both football and NASCAR particularly the Chicago Bears and #48 Jimmie Johnson. She always enjoyed going to bingo with friends. However, her greatest happiness came from being MiMi to her young grandson Teagan, who had been living with her his entire life. Dawn is survived by her children Travis Walck and Monica Walck both of Pennsylvania; her grandsons Teagan of Middletown, NY and Dayton of Beltzville, PA; her brothers Dale Young and his wife Robin of Middletown, NY; David Young of upstate New York and Robert Young and his wife Nicole of Middletown, NY; her stepmother Rita DeNitto-Young of Ridgeville, OH; her stepbrother Matt Bowman and his wife Janice; and her closest dearest friend Denny Klotz of Jim Thorpe, PA. She is also survived by an Aunt, Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and very good friends. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday September 30, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, New York Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Wallkill Cemetery.
