Elizabeth A. Verbert, a retired office manager for Equibal, Inc. in Unionville and longtime resident of the area, died Tuesday March 28, 2017 peacefully in the comfort of her home after a courageous seven year battle with Breast Cancer. She was 77. The daughter of the late William S. and Estelle Knapp Hawkins, she was born on December 23, 1939 in Goshen, New York. Betti was past president and member of the Mid Hudson Chapter International Association for Printing House Craftsman and a member of the Ellenville Noon Day Club. She was currently working as a part time bookkeeper for Hornbeck Plumbing in Wawarsing, NY. Survivors include her son Scott Verbert of Ellenville, NY; her sister Louise White of State of Florida; her 5 grandchildren: Eric Guerette, Emily Majka, Melissa Middlemiss, Ashley Verbert; Samantha Verbert; her 2 great grandchildren: Dominic Guerette and Destiny Middlemiss as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter: Leeann Verbert Guerette; her brothers: William Hawkins, James Hawkins, Thomas Hawkins and Francis Hawkins. The family would like to thank the Ellenville Police Department and EMT's for their tireless effort. Visitation will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday April 2, 2017 at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, NY.
