Katherine Ann "Kathy" Arena, 55, of Middletown, N.Y. passed peacefully at ORMC on October 16, 2016 following a short illness. The daughter of the late Mary and Angelo Arena, Kathy was born on November 7, 1960 in Middletown. She was a graduate of Middletown High School and was a lifetime member of AHRC. She enjoyed working, arts and crafts, dancing, singing, parades, bowling, camping and BINGO. Kathy was a special Olympian, having participated in the Special Olympics at West Point for many years. She won numerous Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals as well as many participation ribbons. Her sport of choice was swimming though she also enjoyed Track and Field. She was predeceased by her loving parents as well as her brothers Benjamin "Clyde" Jacobs, Jr.; Kenneth Jacobs and Edward Jacobs. She is survived by her beloved aunt Elsie Candito and her husband Tom; her brother Ernie Goodrich Jr.; her sister Cindy Barone and her husband Tom and many cousins and adoring nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday October 22, 2016 from 3-6 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, N.Y.
