Obituary of Marilyn Jean Kempton

Marilyn Jean Kempton was born on June 25, 1931 in Flint, Michigan. She met and married Thomas J. Kempton in 1951 in Berrien Springs, Michigan and have been married 65 years. She attended Andrews University to initiate a career in nursing, then transitioned to a twenty year career in special education in the Clarkstown School District. She took great pride in homemaking, gardening, Church involvement, and was a gifted cook. She truly enjoyed retirement with her husband on Gull Pond in Piercefield, N.Y. Marilyn is survived by her husband Thomas J. Kempton; her three sons John Kempton of East Jordon, MI.; Mark Kempton of Tafton, PA; and David Kempton of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday September 29, 2016 from 2:30-3:30 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 3:30 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y.
